Program Manager
The Tri-Community Adult Learning and Literacy Association (TriCALA) is one of 120 community adult learning councils throughout the province who serve mostly rural populations. TriCALA coordinates the part-time non-credit learning needs of adults in Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, and all of Parkland County. We are supported by a grant from Advanced Education.

The Position
Reporting to the Chairperson of the Board of Directors, the Program Manager is responsible for the administration and programming for TriCALA. The Program Manager is the link between residents of Parkland County, the Town of Stony Plain and City of Spruce Grove, and adult learning information and opportunities. This is a permanent full time 35-hour per week position with some flexibility required.

Ability to develop and implement an ongoing and effective marketing program

Professional communication skills

Knowledge of government structures delivering adult education to the population

Financial Management skills

Ability to take the initiative and to work unsupervised
Education and Experience
-
Post-secondary business or public administration degree/diploma or equivalent
-
3-5 years of progressive experience in the not-for-profit sector in a management role
-
Knowledge of Adult Learning principles with experience working in a literacy-based organization is an asset
-
Strong marketing, public relations and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
Compensation
-
$45,500 - $55,000 annually
Upon completion of probationary period, we offer:

3 weeks vacation plus closed between Christmas and New Year
