Job Description:
TriCALA is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Adult Education Program Officer to join our team for a summer student placement funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in gaining practical experience in adult education and curriculum development.
Under our supervision the Adult Education Program Officer will contribute to the enhancement of our adult education programs by focusing on curriculum review and the development of engaging learning materials.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with program staff to assess the current adult education program curriculum and identify areas for potential improvement.

Develop and propose innovative teaching strategies and activities designed to enhance learning outcomes and engagement for adult students.

Create engaging and accessible lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to the diverse needs of our adult learners.
Qualifications:

Must be between the ages of 15 and 30 years old (inclusive at the start of employment).

Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.

Must have a keen interest in adult education and curriculum development.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience or education in education, adult learning, curriculum development, social sciences, or a related field is considered an asset.
