Official Read-a-thon Contest Rules & Regulations
1. Eligibility
This contest is open to legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry. Members of [Organization Name], their immediate family, and those living in the same household are not eligible to win.
2. Contest Period
The contest begins on Feb 1, 2026at 1pm and ends on Feb 28, 2026 at 11:59pm (the "Contest Period").
3. How to Enter

Individual Category: log your reading hours and submit before March 6, 2026.

Book Club Category: submit a group reading total before March 6, 2026.

No Purchase Necessary: To enter without a donation, please email a 50-word essay on "Why Literacy Matters" to Tricala at info@tricala.ca

Individual Prize: One (1) TriCALA branded hoodie per category (Approximate Retail Value: $40.

Book Club Prize: One (1) $50 Gift Card for treats to be used for a group meeting.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are non-transferable and no cash substitutions will be made.
5. Winner Selection and Notification
Winners will be selected based on random draw from all participants who submit their pledge forms in person or by email to info@tricala.ca on March 6, 2026.
Selected entrants will be contacted via Email. If a selected entrant cannot be reached within [72 hours], they will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner will be selected.
6. The Skill-Testing Question
Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question (e.g., $15 \times 4 + 10 - 5 = ?$).
